Coverage requirements depend on the vehicle, rental program, approved use, and driver. Exact requirements, applicable protection, deductibles, exclusions, and renter responsibilities are provided before payment.
CRRU business coverage
Coverage must be confirmed for the specific rental program before a vehicle is released. Do not assume off-trip vehicle coverage protects an active rental or gig-work trip. Any applicable business policy does not automatically eliminate a renter’s contractual responsibility.
Your existing policy
If you submit personal or commercial auto insurance, CRRU reviews the documentation for the specific rental and intended use. An insurance card by itself does not guarantee the policy responds to a rented vehicle or gig activity.
Physical damage
Responsibility for damage to the CRRU vehicle depends on the rental agreement, any applicable insurance, approved protection products, deductibles, and the facts of the incident. Exact terms are shown before rental.
Platform insurance
Uber, delivery apps, and other platforms may provide coverage only during defined app activity. Platform protection is not assumed to apply during every part of a CRRU rental.
Only approved drivers and approved use
Unauthorized drivers, unapproved platforms, prohibited use, or failure to follow accident-reporting requirements can affect contractual responsibility and available coverage.
If an accident or incident happens
Get to a safe location and contact emergency services when appropriate.
Document the vehicles, plates, roadway, damage, and relevant app/trip screen.
Notify CRRU promptly through your trip portal or the listed support contact.
Do not authorize non-emergency repairs, dispose of the vehicle, or privately settle a claim without CRRU approval.
Preserve platform, trip, photo, telematics, and police-report information.
